Electric motor parts

Neodymium magnet (NdFeB Magnets)
are the permanent magnet material. It directly determines the life of the motor. In the hub motor there is a parameter called “coercive force” that refers to the degree of magnetization saturation of the magnetic field, which returns to zero when in the external magnetic field the magnetic induction intensity is reduced, a process that is commonly called «Demagnetization». The engine will have demagnetization after heating. The standard motor uses 3 mm NdFeB magnets to cover the entire rotor, and in some other brand engines 2 mm motors are used to reduce the cost, not even enough to cover the entire rotor.

Copper wire
as is known, copper is a very expensive material. The amount of copper used in the 12-pole stator and the 18-pole stator is different. If less copper wire is used at high speed, we will have heating problems. If the heat cannot dissipate effectively, the potential risk of engine failure rises, and the engine can be burned.

Bearings
They are also very important element for the life of the electric motor. A good quality bearing does not allow the motor to rub when it is running. If you use a skateboard with low quality bearings, when the engine is turning at high speed it will produce a friction sound, causing the stator and rotor to wear, causing blockage and therefore loss of control.
